The community of Hanson Ranch is one of the younger neighborhoods to be found in the north-eastern quadrant of Calgary, having been developed in 1990. The community is often “lumped in” with the neighboring community of Hidden Valley but is a community in its own right. Hanson Ranch is bounded by the Stoney Trail to the north, the Beddington Trail to the east, Country Hills Boulevard to the south and the Shaganappi Trail to the west. The neighborhood is lucky to have a very dedicated, active community association and is represented by Ward 4 in the Calgary City Council.
