Time to Celebrate Senior’s Week!

Calgary senior’s and families can enjoy a range of events and celebrations from June 6^th to 12^th during Senior’s Week, with the theme “Vibrant leaders in the community.” Partnered with many local organizations, the city will host a variety of exhibitions and invite young and old to come out and celebrate the importance of seniors, while learning about valuable resources and services in the community.

During Senior’s Week, the following events are occurring:

• Saturday June 4^th: Aging & Active Living Expo – Featuring 100 exhibits with products, care, services, and support for seniors, as well as the proclamation of Senior’s Week at 10 a.m. Held at the Atrium of City Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. All are welcome, particularly those who are planning for senior care in the near future.
• Monday June 6^th: Kickoff of Senior’s Week – Held at Fort Calgary with free admission for those 65 or better from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Featuring interactive displays, special guests, and music. Learn Tai Chi too!
• Thursday June 9^th: Free admission at Glenbow Museum: for senior’s 65 or better. Also accepting food donations for the Veteran’s Food Bank during the week.
