A revision has been put out by CREA on their forecast for MLS sales in 2010.
In a statement made today by The Canadian Real Estate Association they outline that sale will drop to almost 3% in Alberta to just under Fifty six thousand units and almost another 1% in 2011 to just over Fiftly five thousand sales.
Earlier this year the prediction by the national association of realtors had predicted that the province would see an increase of sales by over nine percent to slightly over sixty three thousand transactions and an additional one and a half percent in 2011 to sixty four thousand.
The reason for the revision downward by CREA was due to a weaker activity than was expected in the first quarter of 2010.
Additionally the forecast for MLS average sale prices in Alberta have also been lowered. Previously the forecast for price of homes by CREA were predicted to rise by 4.7% to $357,300, now the prediction says it will only increase by 2.1 percent to $348, 400. 2011 average sale prices have also been revised from 1.2 percent to 0.7.
