How to Sell your Home Faster – Part I

However; there are several things you can do prior to selling and during the listing and viewing process to help speed up the sale of your home and possible get better offers:
Plan Ahead
It can take a few weeks to a few months to get your home ready for sale, depending on your personal circumstances and how much needs to be done before listing. Even if you only have an inkling that you may be selling your home in the future, you can save a ton of stress and running around by getting ready now.
Get the “To Dos” Done Now
Every homeowner has a list of little things that their home needs – such as touching up paint, filling holes, or fixing fixtures, hardware, and dripping faucets. All of these little things may not seem like much, but they will take you time to complete. The end result will be a home that is more put together and looks like it’s been well taken care of.
Consider an Inspection
While preparing to sell your home you be keen to avoid additional expenses, but if you’ve been in your home for a long time a pre-sale inspection is a good idea. Why? Because it will identify the areas of your home that need the most work, so you don’t have any surprises when potential buyers have their inspections completed. By knowing ahead of time you can decide what repairs or maintenance you can complete prior to selling, and be aware of any issues that may come up.
