December 22, 2010 Mortgage Rate Update

Posted by Carlos Montes on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010 at 3:08pm.

Well it’s finally here, the week leading up to Christmas.  December seems to have whizzed by and I hardly feel ready for this weekend festivities.  I got some over due baking done for Christmas treats for my friends, colleagues and clients and have allotted 3 more hours tomorrow to finishing up the baking before I will brave the traffic on the 23rd to deliver the goodies off all over the city! I do enjoy the holiday season and the spirit of giving that naturally comes along with it.

The Christmas season doesn’t seem to have put too big of a stop on business and people are still buying.  It is apparent that all some people want for Christmas is a brand new house!  :)  Even though rates did increase over the last couple weeks they are still very low and people are taking advantage of them. 5 year fixed mortgages are available as low as 3.89% and the 5 year variable an attractive prime -.75%.  There are also great rates available on shorter term mortgage like a 3 year fixed as low as 3.40%. Ther is definitely something for everyone and we love finding the exact mortgage solution for each unique client.

However you decide to spend your holiday season, I hope you have some time to spend with the people who are most important to you.  Have an excellent holiday season and a safe New Years celebration.  I am looking very forward to all that the New Year has to bring.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
