Whether you are out of work, looking for work, or need a change of pace, the Calgary Police Service Recruiting Expo is a great place to start. Happening today (November 16th) from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the BMO Centre in Stampede Park, everyone is invited to check out just what it is like to be a Calgary Police Officer while they drum up some interest for their recruiting program.
Attendees can talk to Police Officers in various units – including Tactical, Traffic, and Canine Units – about their jobs, and the rewards and challenges that come along with it. Potential recruits can try their hand at the on-site obstacle course and even see the Canine Units in action with some live demonstrations.
Always wanted to know what it is like to be a Police Officer? Now you can find out! Being a police officer can be extremely satisfying, and it is offers some of the highest job security rates, as well as paid training and an excellent pension plan. The next intake period for recruits is in March 2011, so now is the time to find out if this career could work for you.
