Animal & Bylaw Services has made it even easier for pet owners to find information and locate their next lifelong friend by launching a mobile pet application called “City of Calgary Pets.” The free app is available for iPhone, Blackberry, and Android handheld devices.

Using City of Calgary Pets, pet owners can find the following information:

-          Pet licensing information

-          Lost pet instructions

-          List of “I Heart My Pet” participants who offer discounts to licensed pet owners

-          Emergency veterinary clinic contact information

-          Instructions for reporting an aggressive animal incident

Additionally, those who want to find an adoptable animal can view photos and information, so they can find the perfect pet as soon as they become available. The app is free and can be found at iTunes, the RIM store, the Android Marketplace, or at Calgary.ca/mobileapps.
